Birtley House is proud to announce that the Nursing Home has been rated by CQC as 'OUTSTANDING'
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) monitor, inspect and regulate all health and social care services. They publish their findings, including ratings, to help people choose the right care. The five areas CQC focus on are:
Inspections are carried out on a scheduled or unannounced basis. The last inspection at Birtley House was on 27th January 2016.
The following is an excerpt from the 2016 CQC report:
"People repeatedly praised the caring nature of staff and highlighted the kindness that had been shown to them. One person told us "The staff are very kind. I think they are lovely". Similarly, a second person said "Nothing is too much trouble. The staff are wonderful." Another person described the home as "A magic place. It's a family here. Just incredible kindness." Relatives were equally complimentary of the care their family members received. One relative told us "Birtley House Nursing Home is an amazing place where nothing is too much trouble for anyone."
